What's New in MIP Version 4

   Mount Deleted Files

Mount Image Pro version 4 has its own Filesystem driver. Mount and view:

• Deleted files

• FAT and MFT tables

• Volume Boot Record (VBR)

• Unallocated clusters as a file

• ignore Windows security permissions

Mount Non Windows Filesystems without third party drivers:

• .HFS (Apple format)

• .EXT (Linux - coming soon)

Rebuild a RAID

• Rebuild and mount a RAID from images of physical drives

Added image formats

• .DMG (Apple format)

• .VHD (Microsoft Virtual PC)

Logical Image Files

Improved speed and support for large AccessData.AD1 and EnCase.L01 logical image files.

Mount As "Read Only

Mount drive letters in "Read Only" mode so that users are not able to change the contents of a mounted drive letter. (Changes were formally cached by Windows, but now it is also possible to write protect the mounted drive letter).
