Mounting MAC drives

Step 1 - Download and Install a 3rd Party MAC File System Driver

Mounting Macintosh drives requires the use of a third party MAC File System Driver. In this example we are using Mediafour's "MacDrive" which can be downloaded from www.macdrive.com. Download and install the driver, a reboot may be required.

Step 2 - Mount the MAC Image with MIP

Run Mount Image Pro Version 4:

Select the FILE / MOUNT in the top menu, or click the button.
In the device selection window, click to add and select the required MAC image file.
Once the required image is selected, press the button to display the following screen:.

Once the image file is mounted, open Windows Explorer to see the mounted logical drive letter (A fast way to open Windows Explorer is to right click on the mounted drive letter and select "Explore"):

If you MAC file system drive is installed, you should see the MAC file system under a red apple icon.

How to "Mount Filesystem" using the GUI

Run Mount Image Pro Version 4:

Select the FILE / MOUNT in the main program screen, or click the button;
In the device selection window, click to add and select the required image file.
Once the required image is selected, press the button.

Mount Image Pro will then mount the Macintosh image and display the file system. Typically you will see a number of Macintosh setup folders in the mounted image. User created data is likely to be located in the folder "Apple_HFS...", as show below:
